About Paula

Paula has always been interested in art, drawing, sculpture, and creating portraits. As a teenager she loved to sketch and paint. Her portraits were always detailed and colourful.

Recently Paula has been fascinated by faces from Peru, Brazil, Africa and Australia. She has used the internet to access photos from all over the world.

Paula uses inks, pastels and paints to layer her work so that a texture is built up which adds a three dimensional element to her portraits.

She is fascinated by the vibrant colours of tribal people. Tribal art comes through strongly in the images she creates.
